Custom Card Display Case

Postby JR0B13 » 2014-Jan-Tue-06-01

So lately I've been thinking about building some sort of display piece to show off my favorite personal collection of cards. I want to incorporate some of my old hockey sticks or something to make it a little more meaningful to hang on a wall haha.
As of now, my PC is just sitting in a drawer! :smack
Has anyone here came up with a way to show off their collection? I'd be really interested on what you came up with.

I myself prefer to have them in piles all over my office at work and in the basement on my break table with no sorting or arrangement at all. It makes if fun when I get to go through them because I stumble upon stuff I had no idea I had. Try it, lol
My eBay page, if I have anything listed?!?! http://bit.ly/L4WqKq

I've had the same dilemma JR0B, as much work as we put into our PCs, it's a shame that they end up in piles or boxes. In my previous house when I actually had an office I had a bookcase where I could stand my cards up around the shelves but right now it's all in boxes. I find that one of the best places to display a PC is even just in a thread on the message board. But this being said, yes, I cannot wait until we're in our next house where I'll have my own space to display cards again.

I did this custom frame job for a fav sub set of mine. The cards are removable, so I can switch it out later on if I find something else to swap.

download/file.php?id=1700&mode=view

I don't think sticks would fit in it. :)

Had an idea earlier this morning with a old wine rack i picked up at a garage sale this past summer for 2 bucks. All i had to do was make a few cuts and it was on the wall within about 5 minutes!
I'll probably paint it later and maybe add glass in front.

That looks awesome!! I might just have to try and throw something like that together myself.. I bought this thing and was very disappointed to find that it only fits very thin stock cards, which ruled out most of my nicest cards.

That is very cool John. I will have to keep my eyes open for a cheap wine rack. Well done.
